What happens if my collection day falls on a holiday?
When an observed holiday falls on a normal collection day, collections will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week. For example, if your normal collection day is Monday and there is a Monday holiday, Monday customers will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday customers will be collected Wednesday, etc.
Holidays we observe:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
On-call service
Our on-call service is available Monday-Saturday. If you miss your collection day, forget to put out your bins, or just simply can't wait until your next collection day, schedule an on-call service with same or next day availability.
What can and cannot go into the bins?
Please refrain from putting the following items into your bins:
- Yard waste
- Dirt
- Sod
- Rocks or concrete
- Construction or demolition debris
- Hazardous waste
- Hot ashes or flammable material (oil, paint, gas, batteries).
- Lithium-ion batteries (inc. phones, laptops, electrical devices)
Single Stream Recycling
Gastaldo waste offers single stream recycling. This means you may put any and all clean plastic bottles & containers, paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, and cans into the recycling bin together.
Bulk Items
Bulk items are handled on an "as needed" Basis. You may text or email a picture of your item/items in order to request a quote and schedule a pickup date.
Yard Waste
We can accommodate up to 2 bags of yard waste on your regular collection day. Any more than two bags and we will have to send out a separate truck, for which we have a 10-bag minimum. Please call the office for scheduling and availability.
Billing Schedule
Billing is quarterly via email or autopay.
